VGT Slots List Of 84 VGT Slot Machines Red Screen

[ Summary ]Some observations and research related to the VGT slots so common in Oklahoma casinos. Includes some advice about how to play red screen slot machines and a list of 84+ games.

You’ll most likely find VGT slots in Native American casinos. I got interested in them when I started visiting some of the casinos in Oklahoma — especially the Winstar, which isn’t far from where I live.

VGT specializes in designing and manufacturing Class II slot machines, which are often the only kind of gambling machines available in states with Native American casinos. Class II casino games are based on bingo rather than other kinds of computer algorithms. (I’ll cover that more in a future post.)

Here’s everything I’ve been able to learn about VGT slots:

Who Makes VGT Slots?
VGT is an acronym for Video Gaming Technologies, Inc, which was founded in 1991 as a casino game developer specializing in Class II gaming. According to their official site, they have over 20,000 games available in over 140 different casinos.

The biggest aspect of the VGT brand for most gamblers is their “Red Screen Free Spins” feature, which is available on their games Hot Red Ruby and Mr. Money Bags (among others).

Aristocrat Leisure bought VGT in October, 2014, VGT still exists, only now as a division of a much larger company in the space.

Red Screen Slots
What VGT is best known for around here are their red screen slots.

The red screen is just a randomly-triggered bonus round where you get additional spins. You must get a winning spin to trigger the red screen. The red screen slots seem to trigger about 20% of the time, but the variance on that can be wild.

The amount of the red screen bonus varies widely, too. Usually, you’ll see between 3 and 5 bonus spins after a red screen gets triggered.

My friend Steve describes a simple strategy for making the most of these red screen slots. Start by accumulating a bankroll of between $200 and $500, then find a dollar machine from VGT — one that has the red screen feature.

Put $100 into the game, and quit (and move to a different machine) if you lose $50 without triggering a red screen bonus.

When you do trigger a significantly-large red screen bonus, set aside the winnings and keep $100 of your win to play with.

At this point, you’re playing with “house money.”

If you’re lucky, you can hit multiple red screen bonuses and other jackpots without ever having to gamble with your own money.

Fussy gambling writers will point out that there’s no such thing as playing with house money. They’re right, as far as that goes, but if you’ve already booked a profit, there’s nothing wrong with taking some of that profit and taking a shot at a bigger profit.

Just don’t keep gambling until you’re broke.

Once you get ahead, lock in some of your winnings.

That’s the only way to succeed at slot machines even in the short run. If you just keep playing until you’re broke every time you visit the casino, you’ll never come home a winner.

What States Have VGT Slot Machines?
What states have VGT slot machines?

Mostly, Oklahoma.

States which offer Class II slot machines are more likely to have VGT slot machines than states where Class III slot machines are the norm.

I’m not sure that VGT has games in these states, but here’s a list of states with Native American casinos, which traditionally offer Class II slots:

* Alabama
* Alaska
* Arizona
* California
* Colorado
* Connecticut
* Florida
* Idaho
* Indiana
* Iowa
* Kansas
* Louisiana
* Michigan
* Minnesota
* Mississippi
* Montana
* Nebraska
* Nevada
* New Mexico
* New York
* North Carolina
* North Dakota
* Oklahoma
* Oregon
* South Dakota
* Texas
* Washington
* Wisconsin
* Wyoming

Which states have VGT slot machines?

Oklahoma, for sure, and possibly some of the states on the above list.

VGT Slots Online Free
I used to do some consulting for another site in this niche, and one of the topics our readers wrote to us about was where to find and play VGT slots online free.

As far as I know, VGT still doesn’t market free online versions of their games.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that Aristocrat Leisure acquired VGT in 2014, and Aristocrat DOES make some of its games available online. If there’s enough demand for games like Lucky Duck and Ruby Red, eventually you WILL be able to play VGT slots online free.

If you want to try free slots games online, I recommend Bovada, which offers over 120 different games to choose from.

Can You Play Lucky Duck Slot Machines Online? Can You Play Ruby Red Slot Machines Online?
If you want to play Lucky Duck slot machines online or play Ruby Red slot machines online, you’re out of luck. As far as I know, neither of these games are available online.

That’s the bad news.

But there’s good news, too.

Bovada, which is one of the only online casinos worth recommending, offers some slot machine games that are similar.

Reign of Gnomes is a Bovada slot that should appeal to people who want to play Lucky Duck slot machines online. The theme of the game involves a village by the sea populated by gnomes. It’s a 5-reel game with 243 ways to win, and the graphics are of such high quality that you’ll think you’re watching a Pixar movie.

Reign of Gnomes ought to also appeal to people who want to play Ruby Red slot machines online. The ice diamonds bonus round in the game has similar visuals, with colored gemstones that result in bonus payouts. Like a video game or roleplaying game, the bonus game in Reign of Gnomes has multiple (5) levels to progress through.

Another cool thing about trying the slots at Bovada is that you can get over $3000 in bonus credits when you sign up. Check that offer out for yourself here.

VGT Slot Machines for Sale
If you’re looking for VGT slot machines for sale, you’ll be better off searching eBay or one of the quality antique slot machine dealers on the internet. Just be sure you understand what the laws related to slot machine ownership are in your jurisdiction.

In most states, it’s illegal for private citizens to own slot machines unless they’re antiques. The definition of antique varies from state to state, too.

Since VGT is a relatively young company, in most states, most of their games wouldn’t qualify for antique status.

Slots for Sale is probably as good a place as any to start your search for VGT slot machines for sale, though.

Please note that I don’t sell slot machines on this site, and I have no association with Slots for Sale, either.

Finally
VGT slots are popular in Oklahoma Casinos like the Winstar. They’re owned by Aristocrat Leisure these days, but they specialize in Class II slots — you might be able to find VGT slot machines in other states, but stick with the Native American casinos when you’re looking for them.

I’m not able to recommend an online casinos or website that offers free VGT slot machines online to play, but I do recommend Bovada if you’re looking for something similar.
