GSM Coverage in Nigeria and its Impact on the Economic Welfare of Citizens.

ABSTRACT
This study investigated the impact of GSM Coverage in Nigeria on the economic welfare of citizens. The study used both primary and secondary data.

The primary data was obtained through 200 questionnaires issues to GSM mobile line subscribers in Abuja, comprising subscribers of MTN, Airtel, Globacom and Etisalat randomly selected from Kubwa, Dutse, Lugbe, Kuje, Gwagwalada, Gwarinpa,

INTRODUCTION
The growth of technology across the world in recent times cannot be over-emphasized. Globalization and technology have indeed made the world a small village.

Awake Magazine (2009), believes that technology has found its way into every corner of the world, even crossing the divide between the rich and poor and has become a part of life for many, if not all.

The pervasiveness of technology is perhaps most apparent in the proliferation of The Global System of Mobile Communication (GSM) and cell phones.
